Kuchyna - Vysoka

Vysoka is the second highest peak of the Little Carpathians. If you are moving on the northwest side of the mountain range, then Vysoka is a hill that you must see and conquer. We will now set off from the village of Kuchyna and on the way to Vysoka we will conquer Ostry Vrch. Enjoy your walk!

You can download the route here.

We have two steep ascents ahead of us, the first to Ostry Vrch, the second to Vysoka. Then comes a steep descent. That's why I classified this track as hard for walking. We will overcome a total of 753 meters.

For your car, you will find a suitable parking space on the east side of the village of Kuchyna. Here is the link to the location on Google maps.

Our walk starts along an unmarked route, follow your GPS devices. On the meadow behind the village, we find a path in the thicket.

During the climb, don't forget to stop from time to time and enjoy the views.

We overcome a steep climb through a dense forest...

...We walk along the green ridge of the hill...

...And we come to a tree that grows exactly on the top of the Ostry Vrch hill. We rest for a while and continue our journey, a short steep descent awaits us.

When we enjoy the forest paths and trails enough, then here we will turn to the blue route...

...Which is asphalted. We relax a bit on it, but not for long, in a short time we turn again into the woods to an unmarked trail.

During a slight climb, we find a tourist shelter in the forest. It is almost constantly occupied during the season. You will meet tourists who are happy to talk to you. We can sit here for a while and then continue our climb.

Now the most difficult section of our journey begins. Keep an eye on the blue mark and your GPS devices during the steep climb.

And we are on the top of Vysoka. We take a few photos, enjoy the views and we can continue along the blue route down...

...After about half a kilometer of steep descent in rocky terrain, our route begins to resemble walking again.

We turn off our route for a while to stop at a spring of fresh mountain drinking water, with the characteristic name - „Hope“. By the way, the spring is taken care of by the Alcoholics Anonymous Club. So cheers. We also replenish our supplies and move on.

Gradually, we get to the cottage area of Vyvrat, where we continue along the blue...

...We get back to the village of Kuchyna, where we find our parking lot and the end of our walking. Thank you for walking with me.
