Stupava - Pajstun
On today's walk, we will look at the ruins of Pajstun Castle. Pajstun belonged to the system of border castles, which in the Little Carpathians took over the function of protecting the northwestern borders of the Hungarian state from the 13th century. The beginnings of the royal castle date back to the 2nd half of the 13th century. The castle has gone through a turbulent history and has had several owners. Since 1809, when it was demolished by Napoleon's troops, it has been lying in ruins. Enjoy your walk!
The start and finish of our walk is located on an organic farm in the cadastre of the town of Stupava. The track is 17.1 km long and you can download the route here.
There are no steep ascents and descents on the route, so I marked the track as medium. The total ascent is 551 meters.
You can park your car directly in the parking lot of the organic farm. Here is the link to the location on Google maps.
From the organic farm, we follow the blue route. We pass through a beautiful deciduous forest...
...mostly on gravel and dirt roads...
...Here we turn onto an old asphalt road.
Crossroads of hiking trails - Cerveny Domcek. Here we turn onto an unmarked trail. Track your GPS device.
On this unmarked trail is the steepest climb of our walk.
At this point, we turn onto the red track...
...which will lead us to the Castle.
Near the castle, we come across a tangle of different trails. We carefully follow the red sign, which will lead us to the entrance gate of the castle ruins. Now there are some shots from Pajstun Castle.

We will leave the castle at the same place as we entered it and follow the yellow route...
...which leads to the town of Stupava.
Here we enter the outskirts of the city, follow the yellow sign...
...which will eventually take us out of the city...
...where the horse farms are located...
...We will walk between them and at the end we will get to the organic farm, from where we started, we will end our walk here with delicious food. Thank you for walking with me.
